Just wanted to mention here that i got an email from my attorney's paralegal that they got receipt notices on friday and will let me know about them soon.

As of now i do not have any idea the receipts are from which centre.

    Thanks for the responses.

    Too lazy
    Too scary
    Too selfish

So far I am lazy. I am sending them today.

Just 51? Only 51 members used AC21 or what?

What will it take the rest to participate? USCIS sending denials to your address? If this campaign fails there is no one to help you if this happens.

    Send those letters ASAP

    Gurus and "New" Permanent Residents,
Did any one send a streamline email to NSC and did any get a better response then the "automatic script" response that you get from NSC?

If you did get a positive response then can you share on what exactly you had in the content of the email?

    Thanks.
As far as my knowledge goes, there is no streamline email for NSC. We did send emails to NSCSfollowup and SCOPPSCAT .. and got standard script response for both.

    Rodnyb,

The below number is depressing, however dont you think DOS/USCIS always believe in keeping buffer and they may push the dates somewhere into 2009 just to accept 485 filings?

Why do think they will stop keeping any buffer?

[QUOTE=rodnyb;2494192]Teddy, I agree some of your data. Mine would be (90% confidence level)

    Hi Friends,

I am really sick and tired of my attorney. He is making money out of immigrants but he does not like immigrants based on our dicussion.
I think we are very well educated and can easily take care of 485 filing.
My attorney will charge me at least $3000 for it although I got his referral from AILA. On top of that he delays filing my PERM and 140 and having serious attitude problem.
I can easily take care of 485 filing by myself.
My only and great concern is- Is my attorney can screw up my GC processing if I fire him and file 485 on my own?

    Your Thoughts..

    Thanks!

In technology field, your trump card is your superior knowledge in your field. If you are very thorough in your area of expertise, employers would anything for you.

After numerous job searches and process I have been associated with, I have found following things:

All skilled people get the job they want. Hiring process in US is very slow and if you hold your ground eventually employers agree to your demands. I understand that the applicant here wants to work for capital 1. However, I would not advise on confronting an HR person directly. That may play against your long term interest with the company. Listen to whatever HR says and just thank them and say if there is any future opportunity you will be willing to consider.

After that report the matter to DOJ. Do not come across as someone who is creating trouble for employer. You will make your case difficuilt for future opportunities with that employer. AOS, 485 are all temporary things but you and capital 1 are staying there for ever. So report such cases without employers getting any hint of who did it.

Ask your attorney to resolve this through AILA.

I will try this.. but my company seems to like a 'wait-watch' approach regarding this.. :o

I received standard reply from TSC yesterday. "In absence of A# or SRC number we are unable to locate your file. If you would like to re-submit please quote these numbers......."
Of course I received my envelope also.

My new theory is the DOS was influenced by politicians who are attorneys (I beleive that there 50% of lawmakers) and it released a huge Visa Numbers. The politicians have strong connections to law firms. The USCIS doesn't want to do it, because it doesn't have 'resources', 'money', 'manpower. So, they are on a near strike mode, not attending routine works like sending receipts., etc in a timely fashion.

If it is any consoling to you, this is what I posted yesterday at a different thread at IV. Looks like I can re-cycle it today for a larger audience. Click the hyperlink and see the video for yourself.
A strong case of moronic president, moronic problems?

    ...........
    ................

Many issues are being swept under the carpet. I had written a few times earlier. The backlog and GC issues are not truly a numbers game. It is the neo-con regime and the republican culture that had engulfed Washington, its consequences, that had made things miserable for us; we, the legal immigrants.

4/5ths of the illegal immigrants have been here by the time of Clinton's second term. It was a non-issue then. You should understand why is it an issue now? Why can't it the legal and illegal immigration be addressed and solved. In a democracy, things like this can be solved administratively, legislatively and judicially. Adminstratively, we we hit below the belt, in backlogs, in delays, in sudden rule changes (no concurrent filings of PD is not current). Legislatively, they are stalling and falling apart. What is left for the immigrants?

I had written many times earlier.

Why should you know? Why should you understand? It is in your own interests that you understand things wisely. Failure to know what is happening on the ground, what is happening around us is a sure shot for personal failure.

In this connection, see a counter-point on the immigration bill.

Sorry for the repeat post, if you already posted it....I knew somebody else might hv thought of it too...hope we are wrong and this is all some technical math problem that DOS/USCIS got wrong this time.

You have read and find out. When you file for AOS, you will do one set for Principal (search and read elsewhere on IV) and one set for dependent (search and read elsewhere at IV for a complete set of docs).

So, you need to file one set of the latter. I don't know why you say add to mother's file. Is mother principal applicant or you.

These are based on common sense and logic. Read and verify.

If possible get (search and get AILA Handbook on AOS, I read somewhere there is one)

sorry my bad. do we need to fill 325 and 325A or just 325, infant also needs 325? Also would you please tell me if we need to request to add the applicant to mother's file? or no need to do that.

    thanks
    kr

    Thanks for your reply.
what is the meaning of staff augmentation case? He work at client place and client is administered project. The s/w tool is copyright by client. The reason for asking him to come back is that prior to this company he worked for another company for two years. He left his old company before 5 year. when he joined his current company he has provided all the document mentioned in checklist such as offer letter, exp and releiving letter and last two month pay stub and they did BG for same document.During 5 years career he worked for diff client and everytime they did BG for him before putting him in project and there was no problem happen in his BG. recently his current employer find something wrong about his prior company and they asked him to provide more evidance for prior company.now he don't have any contact of his prior employer and he does not have any more evidnace for showing their company.
Because of this reason they are asking him to come back home country from last two week.He told his company that he tryed to connect his prior employer but he can not make out and he don't have anything more to show the company.

Please suggest what he can do in this situation.
If anyone come across in this situation then please reply to my question.
    Appericiate your help in advacne

you are mixing up stories here..... I remember your post saying this is what happening to you......

This is not a bad idea.

If everyone think this is a good idea, then we need to do this with a little more planning than the flower campaign.

We can route the pizzas to hospitals and orphanages, shelter for the homeless etc also.

Core group, please chew on this idea!

I AM ORDERING PIZZA and gourmet food from local restuarants every week to be delivered to Emilio Gonzalez
The delivery will be on the 15th July.

NO Matter how many people say "Take it easy" its simply not possible, you will have to be a superhuman to do that. Sure its stressfull but no more stressful than boarding your first flight to USA. no more stressful than attending 1st H1B interview at the consulate or your first client interview. So in the end, we have been through all the hurdles with most of us surviving 2001-2002 job markets and now is 2007.

The point is we have been through all that successfully and thats a BIG WIN. So we will be through this too, but not without stress. The day we decided to come to USA and until now we have been successful as we are resourceful and can improvise at a short notice and we will. We are shrewd individuals and We Will PREVAIL.

Finally got greened. Got the CPO email for myself and my wife today. It has been more than 9.5 frustrating years since I came to this country. But I am finally happy that it came through.

I am even more happy that I did not just leave it to time. I have been heavily involved with IV from the beginning. I have spent plenty of time and money on IV and happy to see that it has benefited myself and others.

Don't loose heart. Keep fighting for what you think is fair.
